Christmas 2014 – Middle East

We had eaten one too many bad gyro sandwiches from guys who just did not look entirely middle eastern (peru at best, I see you FRANK!!!).

So we decided to throw caution to the wind and cook the menu ourselves.  (I kind of don’t understand that one.  Hello, wind. It’s me, Will.  Got some caution here.  Ok, get ready, here it comes.  Boom, THROWN.  Ooooh, sorry, wind.  That’s my bad.  That was all me.  Now I just feel bad.)

We selected a wide array of choices for our menu.   We chose Labneh (fresh cheese with herbs) partnered with an herb cracker, seafood salad (surprisingly common, behold the enormous coastline of the middle east), and kosheri (lentils, noodle, and veg) among other things.  For real, these cats know several things that we do not when it comes to food.  Simply amazing.

We don’t pretend to be all things middle eastern,  We looked up delicious dishes and flavors on the world wide web and chose dishes that would give us a happy.

That crazy internet!!!

Enjoy.
